Successful in gaining funding

We have been successful in gaining 12 months funding £18,060 from the Community Foundation in Wales and Awards for all Wales to deliver a pilot project for 12 months.  The service will support families with disabled children/young people with improving their mental well-being. This will be achieved through a dedicated Family Disability Well-being Worker focused on supporting families to improve their mental well-being and emotional resilience.

Nicola Gnojek, Chairperson at Building Blocks commented on securing the grants saying: “It has been amazing news to have received the funding from the Community Foundation in Wales and Awards for all Wales. This means we can help reach families with children with disabilities and work towards strengthening their resilience in mental well-being. This pilot project is going to make a difference to so many children, young people and families”

The new project is called Disabilities & Well-being 4 Children and Young People, which sees Cherelle Mead join our team at Building Blocks Family Centre.  Cherelle is currently settling in to the role however if you would like to know please do not hesitate contact us on 01639 710076 or email [email protected]
